  Full-service event specialists can assist in planning any aspect of your gathering. Your event supervisor will meet with you to go over all the details, listen to your wishes and make suggestions.
• Coordination
  
  Event specialists will coordinate all of the details so you don’t have to. Caterers, musicians, florists, bakers, photographers, videographers, linens, rental items, valet parking, guest favors and more.
• Full Service
  
  In addition to assisting you with planning and coordination, we will attend to every detail the day of your event. We will welcome guests and hang coats, invite guests to the next activity, dim the lights and cue the entertainment.
• Preferred vendors
  
  The area’s finest caterers, musicians, florists and other vendors have all worked here. Your event specialist can suggest vendors to accommodate your style and budget.
• No exclusive vendor contracts
  
  1451 Renaissance Place is one of the few venues that welcomes all professional caterers and vendors. We don’t have exclusive contracts, so you have the freedom to select vendors to suit your needs.

• Can we use our own caterer?
  Yes! 1451 Renaissance Place welcomes any professional, licensed and insured caterers, allowing you to choose one that reflects the style of your event. We can also book the caterer for you, as well as florists, entertainers, theme development, party favors, decorations, audio-visual technicians, valet services and more. So there is just one bill for all services.
• Do you offer free parking?
  Yes! Free, on-site, off-street parking can accommodate approximately 130 vehicles during evenings and weekends. Daytime parking for approximate 90 cars is available. Street parking is also available. For large events, we can make arrangements for shuttles from nearby lots or for valet parking services.
• Can you accommodate proms or youth events?
  Yes. 1451 Renaissance Place is a wonderful location for a variety of youth events, including proms and dances as well as life cycle events like Bar and Bat Mitzvahs, quinciñeras and graduations. The staff will also work with the student organizers to ensure they plan a successful event while learning about coordination, time management, budgeting and other aspects of event planning.
  
  Alcohol will not be served at any event known to be “all ages.”
• What are your rates?
  While it is an exclusive location, 1451 Renaissance Place can be surprisingly affordable. It all depends on the size of your event, the type, the day of week, the amenities you choose, and many other factors. Your event specialist will work with you to plan an event that fits your budget.
• Is 1451 Renaissance Place available for public events?
  Yes. 1451 Renaissance Place has been host to concerts, speakers and other performances that are open to the public. All events must be concluded by midnight and security and a security deposit is required for these events.
• Do you have any special rates or promotions?
  Special rates are available for multiple use contracts, daytime and weekday events, short notice availabilities and others. Occasionally, there may be special promotions or incentives for you to consider. Ask your event specialist for details.
• Are you wheelchair accessible?
  Though it is almost 100 years old, 1451 Renaissance Place has been renovated to accommodate guests with disabilities. The building has an elevator that picks guests up at sidewalk level and provides access to the foyer and ballroom levels. Be sure to let your event specialist know if you or your guests have any specific needs that we can accommodate.
• How many people can you accommodate?
  A typical event at 1451 Renaissance Place hosts between 150 and 250 people, though we have hosted events for groups as small as 2 and as large as 600.
  
  We provide seating for up to 300, so larger groups would require renting additional seating. Events larger than 400 should be approved by the event specialist.
• What type of staff will be in attendance during my event?
  Our full-service professional staff will be with you throughout your event to see to the needs of you and your guests. Your event specialist will see to the smooth operation of your event. Other staff members include a greeter, coat check, beverage servers, parking director, supervisory and support staff, as needed.
• When can I see 1451 Renaissance Place in person?
  We take great pride in sharing this distinctive venue, and we encourage you to schedule an appointment to see us.
  
  Regular office hours are 9:00am to 5:00pm weekdays. If that doesn’t accommodate your schedule, lunchtime, evening and weekend appointments can be arranged.

I am a Milwaukee landmark

1451 Renaissance Place was designed by renowned American architect Solon Spencer Beman. After seven years of construction, it was opened as a Christian Science church in 1909, and remained so for almost 80 years.

In the 1980s, the building was purchased from the church and underwent a major renovation. The name 1451 Renaissance Place was coined to reflect the structure’s new beginning. The goal of the renovation was to maintain the building’s original splendor, while bringing it in line with contemporary needs. The original woodwork, vaulted ceiling, plaster, moldings, leaded-glass windows and marble staircase were painstakingly preserved and lovingly restored.

Today, 1451 Renaissance Place is one of Milwaukee’s most sought-after gathering places, a stunning example of turn-of-the-century design and craftsmanship. No other venue offers the feel, the sound, and the splendor.
