Can I have my wedding ceremony and reception there?

Yes! 1451 Renaissance Place was originally built as a church, so it provides the perfect setting for a wedding ceremony. While stunningly beautiful, its architecture and ornamentation is not affiliated with any particular faith. So we host weddings of many faiths as well as interfaith and multi-cultural weddings.

You may host just your ceremony or continue straight through to your reception. This adds convenience for you and your guests, as there are no transportation concerns and no interruption to the day’s continuity. Your event specialist will discuss the many options for ceremony and reception settings.

Can we use our own caterer?

Yes! 1451 Renaissance Place welcomes any professional, licensed and insured caterer, allowing you to express your taste and style. We can make recommendations or book the caterer for you. While we’re at it, we can book the florists, entertainers, theme development, party favors, decorations, audio-visual technicians, special transportation, valet services and more. So there is just one bill for all services.

What are your rates?

While it is an exclusive location, 1451 Renaissance Place can be surprisingly affordable. It all depends on the size of your event, the type, the day of week, the amenities you choose, and many other factors. Your event specialist will work with you to plan an event that fits your budget.

Do you offer free parking?

Yes! Free, on-site, off-street parking can accommodate approximately 140 vehicles during evenings and weekends. Daytime parking for approximately 55 cars is available. Street parking is also available. For large events, we can make arrangements for shuttles from nearby lots or for valet parking services.

Do you have any special rates or promotions?

Special rates are available for multiple use contracts, daytime and weekday events, short notice availabilities and others. Occasionally, there may be special promotions or incentives for you to consider. Your event specialist will be happy to give you the details.

Are you wheelchair accessible?

Though it is over 110 years old, 1451 Renaissance Place is wheel accessible. The building has an elevator that picks guests up at sidewalk level and provides access to the foyer and ballroom levels. Be sure to let your event specialist know if you or your guests have any specific needs that we can accommodate.

How many people can you accommodate?

A typical event at 1451 Renaissance Place hosts between 150 and 250 people, though we have hosted events for groups as small as 2 and as large as 600.

We provide seating for up to 300, so larger groups would require renting additional seating. Events larger than 400 should be approved by the Event Specialist.

What type of staff will be in attendance during my event?

Our full-service professional staff will be with you throughout your event to see to the needs of you and your guests. Your event specialist will see to the smooth operation of your event. If desired, other staff members include a greeter, coat check, bartenders, beverage servers, parking director, supervisory and support staff, as needed.

When can I see 1451 Renaissance Place in person?

While the photographs on this site are nice, they can’t give you the full experience of seeing 1451 Renaissance Place in person. The elegance, the sounds, the feeling – it’s a building like no other. We take great pride in sharing this distinctive venue, and we encourage you to schedule an appointment to see us. We also host (almost) monthly Open Houses on the First Wednesday of the month.  It is a great opportunity to view the property after hours, have your questions answered and enjoy some refreshments!  Call to RSVP and confirm the next Open House date.

Regular office hours are 9:00am to 5:00pm weekdays. If that doesn’t accommodate your schedule, lunchtime, evening and weekend appointments can be arranged.

We do not schedule tours or appointments during events, so please call before coming to be sure someone is available.
